There are moments in life when you realize you’ve been carrying stories that deserve a home.
Not just a place to be stored — but a place to be seen.
Welcome to The House of Mz Bev & Perspective.
This is that home.
This space was created for anyone who touches healthcare — workers, manufacturers, educators, insurers, patients, and the people who love them. It’s a place where humanity sits at the center, where lived experience matters, and where the emotional truth behind the work finally has room to breathe.
For 40 years, I’ve lived inside the healthcare system — as a radiology professional, a clinical instructor, a mentor, an advocate, and a Black woman navigating bias, belonging, and resilience. I’ve carried stories that didn’t fit inside a chart. I’ve witnessed moments that never made it into a report. I’ve held emotions that didn’t have a checkbox.
And somewhere along the way, I realized something:
We are all human documents.
That’s why I wrote my song, Human Document 2025.
It wasn’t just music — it was a declaration.
A reminder that behind every badge, every policy, every classroom, every exam room, every decision, and every diagnosis… there is a person. A story. A truth. A heartbeat.
This blog is an extension of that message.
Here, I’ll share:
- lived experiences from the front lines
- DEI truths that come from real life, not corporate slides
- the emotional load healthcare workers carry
- insights for manufacturers, educators, and insurers
- wisdom from decades in radiology
- reflections inspired by my books and my music
This is a space for honesty.
A space for healing.
A space for perspective.
Whether you’re a healthcare worker trying to stay grounded, a manufacturer designing tools for people you may never meet, an educator shaping the next generation, an insurer making decisions that ripple through real lives, or a patient trying to understand the system — you belong here.
This is the beginning of something intentional.
Something human.
Something true.
